Welcome to be board!!!! If creek fishing is your thing check out the alum fork and south fork of the Saline river. Take HWy 5 north of HotSprings toward Benton. They are about 20 minutes out. Good smallmouth fishing. Harris Brake west of Little Rock is a great place to catch good crappie. It is more secluded with a ton of timber. Yeah the lakes around Hot Springs get crazy this time of year. We fish Millwood a ton. No recreation boats there. All fisherman. :D

Well, I'm planning to check out a creek real close to those you mentioned next week maybe....'hoping the rains this week aren't too heavy!

That Harris Brake is about 50-55 miles from me.... will DEFINATELY need to be checked out!... It sounds like a place I fished a lot near W. Monroe, Cheniere Brake. I never got lost there, but met a few folks who were!

I've never been on Millwood before. That's down in the SW part of the state right?

'never caught a smallmouth bass before either.. just heard tales from dad and his dad, both grew up in the Jesseville area.

Tommy, some good bank fishing in Maumelle. They have 2 small lakes that are stocked by AGFC.
