Default Hot day on the lake (Pics)

The fishing wasn't hot but the weather sure was. My cousin and I went to Morgan Point today. It was really nice out there at 6 am, but it did warm up significantly. The lake looked really good, and the river is out of it, just barely. We ended up catching 14 crappie and a couple of cats. We could have caught all the catfish we wanted down at the rock dam. We caught the crappie in 10 - 15 ft. of water around structure and tree tops. We caught some casting roadrunners and some using jigs in the tree tops.

    Today's catch.

    A couple of the biggest.

Hope y'all had a good day today.

Nice Catch Jerry. I think I might try my luck in the morning down at a local oxbow off the saline.

No Nimrod never baited for catfish, but the water is flowing over the rock dam and the catfish are really biting good. I was fishing with crickets trying to catch bream and the cats were really hitting good.

Hey Billbob, sounds like a good time, hope y'all catch a bunch. It's getting hard to catch down here as hot as it is. Let us know how you do.
