Rusty, just put them out and if someone says something, just tell them you mentioned it to some of the guys and none of them said that you couldn't.

They are pumping water into Horseshoe. At this moment 6 pumps at 5000 gpm and fixing to put 4 more online soon. Maybe by the end of the month water level will be looking fine.
AG&F would not give me the ok to put attractors in the lake; they sent me to COE and they would not say yes or no. They gave me a phone number to some man that is ahead of housing association at Horseshoe.
I bet that I'll have to give the coordinates to them if he says yes.

You can't fish with a hung line!
Alot easier to ask forgiveness than permission.. :D
Don't ask and don't tell. Don't own up to nothing unless your caught and then play dumb.:D What can they do but tell you to stop? Here a permit is required on COE but few ever bother with one.:rolleyes:Originally Posted by bobberwatcher

They dug wells. There is a write-up in the Commerical Appeal about it. Here's the link. I haven't been going to Horseshoe until this year but we did really well over there. Here's the link...

Thats good that they are doing that. As far as the wells pumping 5000 gpm, I dont know about that. Maybe they are, but that is alot of water for a well to pump.
5000 gpm not at all hard to imagine to me. I have rebuilt and rewound so many pumps in my life, it's scary. The biggest pump motor I have wound was 10k hp, at a chemical plant in memphis. Just 4160 volts. It was a verticle like the one in that newspaper article. We had to build scaffolds inside it to wind it. In that article, the Bonds fellow was the one COE referred me to. Launches will probably go up to 10 dollars, maybe that will keep some of the lice off the lake.
Well this is my 3rd or 4th week with no fishing, I'm getting antsy.

It may be putting out 5000 gpm. The well in the article looks to be a 60, but may be a 80 hp electric motor. I am sure it is a shallow well, probably set around 90-100 ft. Looks to be a line shaft, column well and probably has a 3 stage pump on it. I just have never seen one pump that much water in my part of the world, but it maybe there.Originally Posted by fishingpox
