Been doing quite a bit of bream fishin' on the LMR the past few weeks. Even though the majority weren't big bulls, these are by far the largest bream that I've found on the LMR. They were beddin' up, but with the fluctuating water levels, it was hard to keep up with 'em. They were biting pretty much anything that hit the water...worms, crickets, and dynamax jigs. Found all of 'em (on all 3 trips) in one spot about 1' deep. Now that the river has somewhat stabilized, I'll be huntin' for the crappie soon. Here are some pics from one of the trips (but I had better success on the others).
Tons of these little guys runnin' up the river...
Take note of the water level on this stump...
Same stump...but now housing Goocher's old buddy...they go way back...:D
Pretty good idea of how low the water was on that day...it usually comes almost to the top of the stump...
My partner for the day...who I might add, dearly hates stumps...especially the one that he's growling at in the above picture...
A few bream from the day...
Decided that I didn't want to fool with 'em...so I took a quick pic and set 'em free...I hope they stay put until I can make it back...
