Blue springs has been fairly good for 3 weeks. If you can find room there to fish. Also further down the white river towards the buzzard hole has been fairly effective. Although everything has been right off of the bottom. According to fishing report fish should be moving shallow by this weekend. Let the slaying begin.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

Shores, I assume you mean its going to be crowded down there? I havent been fishing down there in several years.

I am not fameliar with buzzard hole, is that up stream or down from Blue Springs?

We can put in at sonora or behind Bryces if those access ramps are still open.

I will report back the results, the weather is looking good for Tuesday, but rain the 2 days before.

    Smile blue springs

Fished blue springs & the buzzard hole last saturday. Caught a limit of fish off of the bottom. The smaller fish seemed to stay around 6 to 12 feet. Have'nt been back down this week to know if anything has changed. I'm going to fish the 12 bridge area today, hook line & sinker bait shop claims they have been hitting jigs at 6 '. We'll see. Check back with all you beaver & White river slab hunters tonite.

Jigs are working at about that depth. I caught 6 keepers right there at the bridge where the game and fish sinks all the Christmas trees. I used a chartreuse/black 1.5" beaver tail on a 1/16 oz jig head. They where in about 10' of water hitting about 5' down. I also caut some on that same jig in Monte-Ne and Horseshoe Bend.

    You guys are killing me.

I had plans to go Tuesday, my partner cancelled, I was complaining about it at work, and another guy volunteered to go.

So Tuesday, maybe Ill have some photos, or at least a report to give.

IM curious about the spots around 12 bridge and beaver shores also, ive got some property right up there across from the fish hatchery, and Id like to find some good spots around there.

Ozarkjeep try blackburn creek. It's the cove just to the south of the nursery pond. The right side about half way back there is a visible bend in the creek channel next to shore. You'll see a lot of brush near the shore, also try the docks they are good as well!
Matt I am glad that you and your son caught some fish! Try on a week day when there is less fishing pressure after it warms up and and I bet their will be more fish!
Stick with that jig though, it will work well for the next couple of months.

Do you all think the rain will slow the action down? I thought I might go back to blue springs tuesday.Do the crappie run down the river like white bass or do they stay in the lake?Do they move alot or can you find them in the same holes? Thanks Matt

    Angry Blackburn creek

Fished blackburn creek saturday afternoon. No luck there as of yet. Only a matter of time. Of course there was a guy with his family out wake boarding we usually don't have to put up with that until summer. I'll probably go out this afternoon and scout around. Hopefully i'lll have some good news for us all.

The fish do scatter after a strong front like we had yesterday. I had a tough time today but I did get some while drop shotting some deep brush in Monte-Ne. I fished the main river channel with no luck. If you go out before the weekend try deeper in Blue Springs and work your way shallower as the day goes on. I even caught a 15" walleye today on a jig!
