You can normally still catch post spawners just about anywhere on the lake on live Cypress through most of May. If you can catch them in March and April, you can catch them in May. June and July is going to be the best part of the Summer bite on the trees. They will be more confined to certain areas than during the spawn but when you find them they will be there every day. Downsize, fish slower, and fish every tree in the area instead of looking for clusters, unless it's real windy, then target the shady clusters. They start to pull off the trees in August and get on scattered cover in the flats. They tend to move around during this time and can be tough to find. You can still catch a few on the trees but it won't be as consistent. September is pretty much the same but they will be heading towards their Fall spots so they are a little more predictable. In a nutshell, August and September are tough on Conway. If you know another lake to catch them on, then go there. If not be prepared to put in a few thousand hours of hard fishing and you'll figure them out.
