    Hey Slick, what plastic dip did you use exactly? I've used the duck tape for awhile and I am somewhat not pleased with the results. My holders are iron, and so they scratch the heck out of my pole handles (not that it really bothers me that much since beauty gives way to fish catchin').

    But, I would really like to give these holders an overhaul. I had thought about a rubberized coating similar to bedliner. What are your thoughts on this plastic dip and its use with iron?

    Ceb this is what I used. I bought it at our local Ace Hardware Store. Also the holder are closer than they appear. My old one were on the front deck and they were too far away.
