I saw a good mess of whites and stripers off of Chimney Rock this weekend. We were bass fishing and ran over to them in time to catch 3 big Whites. Bass were hitting top water baits in 1 to 10 foot of water.

Though our spawn here has stretched itself out into two parts over nearly two months time, the crappie are finishing up and it looks like most of the females got to lay nearly all their eggs. The water is warming up and now we are entering the post-spawn stage where they should pull off the banks and start stacking up in the brushpiles.
Jerry and I did a combo trip today and had a descent run on them. Hopefully, we'll have another month of good crappie fishing. The whites and stripers should start up anytime too.

Keep them pics coming cuz. you making it really hard on a guy to go to work everyday. Its really hard to concentrate on engine work when you have crappie swiming thru your head constantly and makes it hard to sleep at night when I'm catching 15 to 17 inch crappie with every cast lol. your to blame for this condition I'm in and I thank you LMAO.
MT.DEW AND JP8 IN THE MORNING GETS THE BLOOD FLOWING.

Thanks for the report darryl. I was gonna go up to greeson last weekend, but saw the high water / slow bite info & stayed at home. I will be hitting greeson again real soon.
Thanks for posting picture and report. Looks like they are doing better there than Nimrod.

Went out for a cople hours this after noon after the raine and man it was hard fishing here on lake greeson i fished 10 tops in 2 hours and could only get 4 fish tryed all the jigs in 20 colors and even minnows. I dont know how Jerry and Darryl get so many fish i guess thay fish 8 to 10 hours a day ever day and that helps a lot when you can just fish and stay on top of them but guys like me that work have a hard time keeping track of the fish. Must be great to have there job.![]()

Now thats what i call a good day o' fishing right there lol.
Had another good day. Most all were caught about 8-9 foot deep in really dense brushpiles. We had a 16"er that only went 1lb.11oz. They have really lost alot of weight during this year's spawn. Nearly all the females we caught only had about a thimble's worth of eggs left.
The lake is still high in the banks and I believe most of the crappie are scattered. Some tops are completely devoid of crappie and a few will let you catch a half-dozen or so.

Was that an all day trip must have had to run all over the lake to get that amount of fish. What was the number of fish you would catch from each top.I have had a real hard time getting more than a cople of fish off of each top and as you said most are just bones. Me and some friends are gone to try a night stalk one night this week let you guys know how it works out.
