We Use Circle Hooks On Jugs And They Work Really Well. I've Compared Different Types Of
Hooks And The Circle Outdid The Others. I've
Tried Them For Crappie, And They Worked Okay
As Long As I Didn't Set The Hook Which Was Difficult To Do. We Are Going To Try Some This
Weekend At Reelfoot For Crappie While Spiderigging.

Randy use tru turn 3/0 hooks on my rod and reels. also use them on my fishing noodles or jugs. they hook and hold real well. my uncle uses circle hooks quite often and likes them, but like every one has said you have to let the hook do the work because if you try to set it you will pull the hook out of their mouths more often than not.

I have had good fortune jugging with circle hooks, but prefer wide gap hooks when using bluegills for bait on juglines.
