I've been using a 12v 10ah for 4 trips now to run my panoptics set up with black box and it will last 1 day and a couple hours on day two on a single charge. I'm impressed that a batt that weighs maybe 2# does such a great job. When it dies on day two I would switch to a standard deep cycle batt in the boat. Now when I get home I let the simulator run until the batt shuts off. This way I can charge it and know it will last a whole day and I don't have to worry about switching to a standard batt. I'm really considering buying a second one as a spare for the longer days of summer. I haven't been using them long but with the proper wiring (12 ga) I don't expect any problems.
