Well, I am out for this weekend and all weekends in May. June sounds like a blast. I will make plans to attend.

Yeah, I guess the weekends for May are shot. Maybe we should shoot for the 1st weekend in June. Slick, I hope that you can make it to eat a fillet or two or dozen...:D

Here on Nimrod we fish early and late . Never had much luck at night , but then never go much at night. Our catfish holes are good dawn and dusk. The Catalpa worms are starting to show up on my trees. Just not enough to fish with. I'm ready to cook up a bunch next month, Crappie or Catfish.:D

What do y'all think about having one at the first of June and the Nimrod gathering at the end of June?

I know that's a lot of weekends for a time of the year when everyone is busy on the weekends. If nothing else, we can just get together and eat. Any thoughts before we start planning something for the 1st weekend in June?

I will be in south ar the first weekend in June. But the second weekend in June, I would be good for Tar Camp for sure.

You guys are killing me with all the stalling lol! hope its the first week and the last got those weeks off. Ready to come and see you guys and do some fishing. If you need a cat fish fix come to Webbers Falls in Okla. on the arkansas river the first weekend in june the water ought to be down by then. But i'm willing to make it to Arkansas if you get the dates set.

Hey Guys! I've been staying in L.R. during the week and just got back to Nimrod tonite. I'm going to do a little scouting/fishin' this weekend to get ready for our June gathering.
I hope to be able to put out at least one or two cane condos this weekend also. Debra was asking what we were going to cook to eat. I haven't made one of these yet so I don't know what you normally cook.
I'll report tomorrow night if I have any luck.

Slab we have done things as simple as burgers and chips to fish and hushpuppies. Problem with cooking fish is CEB will be buried in a book for this gathering and we will have to provide our own fish. I still have 35.00 bucks from the passing of the hat at the first gathering so we do have some options.

Folks need to chime in on what they would like to have, or bring to the gathering. My thought is a mini pot luck with a main course being something we cook like burgers, brats or fried fish. I would be happy to make some cornbread salad for the event if we could get a couple of others to do some other dishes.
