Fish-n-Eat for May

I've been looking over the dates in June and it looks like the 23rd might be the best date to get together for a Catfish/Crappie combo outing on Nimrod. Father's day is the weekend before and the first weekend is a full moon. The 22nd is the first quarter.
I'll work out some more details with NIMROD on baiting up some good catfish places and I am going to place a few new cane condos between now and then.
I also plan on making up some numbered markers for some of the better Corp of Engineers brushpiles.
Carden Point has a super nice pavilion with elec. and grills. It rents for 50 bucks so I'll need to reserve it before hand. There will be plenty of parking and bathrooms are within walking distance of the pavilion. The swimming area is also right by the pavilion too.
Nimrod is very easy to find with just one turn at Perryville for the folks coming from L.R. It's exactly 1 hour from I-430 and Cantrell Rd.
If this is agreeable with everyone than I'll start planning it. Any input is welcome.:)

David , if I'm correct a senior citizen with a golden age pass gets it for 1/2 price. Maybe we could get someone to rent it under their name ? We also need to find some wheat or sacks of sweet feed for baiting several holes. Hope we can put this together. I have a fish cooker ,but we could use more if the turn out very large.:D Remind those who don't know Nimrod has several camping parks with hook ups as Carden point it day use only.:D

I just got home from a great trip to Talledega and now have another event to look forward to. Personaly I don't care where we do it or when as long as its not at the same time as NWA crappie camp. I would also suggest we not do it at Nimrod in May as our Nimrod host look like they have things well in hand for a visit to there waters in June.

I still have 35.00 left over after buying the fixins for the last gathering so that should handle most all of the food cost for the one in May if we are going to fry fish. I would like to pass the hat again at the next one and send the proceeds to Nimrod or Slabbandit so they can reserve us a place and buy some feed to bait the holes with.

Finaly I would like to have all those that are able to bring a condo to sink wherever we decide to have the May gathering. Not only is it a nice gesture to the lakes host who is showing us there honey holes but it also provides all of us GPS coordinates of condos we all can come back and fish later.

I will be there with one condo and money in hand. I hope that we do it at the LMR. My brother-in-law from Wynne will come and stay at the house. I will make sure and double my money gift if he comes. He will eat for two people.

Gooch, you ol' dawg. Now I know who started throwing those empty beer cans at Gordon! (I know dayum good and well you wouldn't throw any full ones!) The get together in May sounds great. I am oncall on Mothers Day weekend, so any weekend other than that should be good with me.

Hey ,do we have any farmers out there ? I need to buy a few hundred lbs of wheat to bait catfish holes. That would be a big help for our Nimrod get togather.:confused: Sweet feed has gone way up in price and would like to bait several holes.:D

What date are we talking about here? need to plan my time off. I only get every other week end off.

Ok folks it looks like we have the date and time set for a June fish and eat on Nimrod now we need to get busy on May if we are going to pull this off. So far the only locations mentioned have been Little Maumelle, Tar Camp, and Degray. I would like to do a Lake Maumelle but thats just my opinion. Wish those that plan to attend would chime in and state exactly where and when would be best.

I say Tar Camp on 19th. Just my vote
