    Default Lake Chicot Draw Down


    Is anyone familiar with these AGFC draw downs? How will this affect the fishing while the lake is 6 feet lower?


    They are opening the gates on July 8th and will be open until New Years.

    Will it make it harder to catch crappie? catfish? easier?

    Would like to know what to expect.

    Back when I bass fished the drawdown was insane. You could catch them until you just tired out. Never fished the drawdown for Crappie or Catfish but I would assume it would be the same. Less water means less places for fish to hide. I can tell you this they are cutting the limits on fish in half. Only be able to keep 10 Crappie.

    What about Catfish ? They should be easy to bait in . Normally no limit there , correct ?

    I'm sure you could catch a bunch. I was informed that they were only cutting the limit in half on Bass, and Crappie.
