Just what stormcloud said. Find someone close to ya that already spider rigs and get them to go with ya or go with them. There's nothing wrong with pushing minnows around to catch crappie! There's several good lakes within an hour of you and remember, it doesn't have to be a famous lake to catch some fish. Many smaller lakes produce really good.
