Bet a good minner man could have culled 20+ fish if they were hittin a jig like that.

Nice catch Dennis. Think we are going to have to buy you a camera though. Not only are we missing out on pics of those slabs but your fishing some pretty water and I know theres a ton of photo opps.

Are you planning on comming for crappie camp?

Dafshklr, are you fishing the chain lakes below Brasfield? Also, are they open to the public, private, or do you pay to fish?

Gooch, if I didn't know better, I would think you were trying to call his bluff...lol...just kidding...... It would be nice to see some new water pics and more slabs.

Gooch - I have the camera, but I STINK at posting pics. Can't ever figure it out. I have some pics now if someone will explain how to post the pics.

Crappie Camp maybe in my future, don't know quite yet.

Yes, the lakes are a part of the Cache River Refuge, open to the public. 5 lakes within 2 miles of each other. BIG fish there if you can stay away from the gar and snakes!!!!!

I did pretty well despite the wind and cold myself, fishing till 8 pm both nights...... Kept 24 between the 2 evenings, with 3 of them being good solid 1.5# fish.

I know it took a LONG time to warm up once I got inside Sat night!

Not a joke for my feet!:D They got a little cool this weekend...

The cool snap was probably a good thing. Those water temps needed to come back down to where they should be right now...not 75 degrees.

Got out out on Nimrod today. It was still cold ,water temp was 59. It rose to 62 before I quit for the afternoon. I kept 14 Crappie and broke off a good Channel Catfish. All deep on tube jigs. I had a couple 1.5 lbs. and 3 about 1.25 Fried up 4 biggest and it was too much for my son and I. They were on brushpiles on channel drops.
I put out a new stake bed while I was out.:D
