Trying to decide on Degray or Chicot for this weekend.
Just got back from a Sping break trip with my boys and not sure where we are
in the spawn
Any recent reports from either of these lakes
IS the spawn over or going on these lakes

I fish Chicot regulary, and I'm trying decide if I'm going to make the trip down there Wednesday because of this cold front coming through. My Dad who lives on the lake says that things have slowed down but the crappe are still full of eggs. I don't think the spawn has started there, but it wont be very much longer.

First of all welcome to the site and look forward to future posts. I went to Chicot today, but the lake was too rough to fish with the wind like it was. We went to Connerly bayou and caught some decent fish and they seem to be spawning. We caught male and females in about 2 foot of water, on jigs.
