I am very curious to hear how they are doing on Greers Ferry, I thought about taking a hike down there soon, let me know what you find out, I'll keep an eye on this thread, thanks. MM

Well, The luck wasn't as good today but still managed to take home seven fish plus one good bass, If the crappie doesn't keep you busy then the whites will. Size was a little better today but I have yet to find the mother load. I live about a mile from the lake so that makes it easy to go but not always easy to find the rascals.:
10/4, thanks for update. Good luck. MMOriginally Posted by crappiesean

Well guys, For the fourth day in a row I brought home good fish. We caught over thirty nice crappie on Saturday on Greeers Ferry, Some not very big but I only threw back for being too small. I am amazed at how good the fishing for crappie has been this year on Greers. If you don't catch crappie you will catch plenty of whites in there place.![]()
If I were to make a drive to GF sometime in the next week and a half, where does a man try first? Any pointers/suggestions? I'm trying to plan a little round robin crappie fest all over the state with some of my remaining vacation time for this year....OH YEAH, don't that sound like a good plan? MM

North dside of the lake is were all my luck has been. river channels. Devils fork area and middle fork area. I have used minnows and tube jigs but the best has been caught with 1 1/2 grubs all different colors
Thanks for the pointers C.Sean--I have one question, do you know of a website that has a printable detailed map of GF Lake? If not, where is the best place to get one of these so that I can navigate myself around without feeling co-dependent, haha. Thanks man, appreciate your helping me. MM

the lowrance website has a free enhanced lake maps for GF, if you have a gps that will work with it. I found a printed map last year at mcswaims over on the england highway last year. The paper map i found didn't have any contour lines, but it did have brushpile markings. you may be able to find something like that at fish n stuff.
