MM, I cann't keep her from playing with the fish. If she is not catching anything, she is playing with what we have already caught. If we have not caught anything and she is tired of fishing (not catching anything) it is time for a boat ride. I will tell my wife that you were impressed with her fishing skills. We had a few friends over last night and we got to talking about her fine catch so I had to admit last night that I put her pic on here. Not sure if she has seen it yet.

That is awesome...my little sister would have NEVER touched a fish, they are evil is what she used to say, haha. Bet you are one proud father! That's funny about your wife...I have a similar picture of a little largemouth I caught on Beaver Lake that hit a minnow under a float and the minnow was LONGER then the largemouth, incredible....show her, she'll be ecstatic, hahaha. Good luck fishing there Helmslaw! MM

    Default My Pink Shoes

When I bought the toon boat last year, I noticed the shoes the other guys were wearing at the Yaught Club. I pointed them out to my wife and said I needed some so I would be one of the guys. I think they are called "Crocks"?
Any way...My wife found some all right. I say they are pink / she sez they are red. I was embarrased to wear them until I found out how comfortable they are. Now all of the grand kids are outfitted with them to wear on the boat. The oldest one sez she wears "Crotch" shoes just like Pop A Don.

i carried my 2 girls to my uncles pond today bream fishing and they were more interested in putting the worms on their noses than fishing. we caught 28 bream and they reeled 95% of them in themselves. Once "catching" got boring, they couldn't help themselves playing with the worms.. Unbeliveable :D

I cannot wait until I get to experience what all of you fathers get to experience with your children taking them out and showing/teaching them about life in the outdoors, I love it! Crappie fishing is something you have got to have the patience for, it's not always fast paced, and as we can all attest, it's downright SLOW during the iceage for the most part. I just hope that when I have kids they will be as excited as all the kids I see in these picture postings...I'll be sure and enjoy it all I can when that time comes, thanks Grubby! MM

I am happy to say that I own one Scoobie Doo pole, but it is in the pink color. When we go fishing, all she wants is that and a frozen fruit bar from CJ at River Valley Bait. He gives one to all the kids. Those are the 2 staples of every fishing trip for my 6 year old girl.

I think I have you all beat. I have 5 girls and each has had her own way of going. Some wanted to use daddy's pole, others wanted a pole like daddy, and then the last one wanted a Spongebob pole. Luckily She did not see the pretty princess one til later. I know she wants it but she still has a sister that is 8 months. So she wil probably talk her into it.
