Great post, that crappie is so dark it looks like an overgrown goggle-eye. At least you had fun on the water.

Default Where is Moss Point up there?

Hey, CEB, just where is Moss Point? Is it reasonably close to Eudora? Thanks.

Default Oh, Morgan Point, not Moss Point

Sorry, CEB, I got confused by your abbreviation. Don't know how I got "Moss Point." I saw Morgan Point in a post by L.A.stumpjumper just now. so now I must rephrase my question to you or to anyone else who can help: where is Morgan Point? sure looks nice. Thanks again.

Hey heavy chevy, sounds like I've been beat!:D I guess I'll pass off the award as a rainbow is definately a rare find. Wonder how it got in there?

Grizz and Johnny, that first lake is definately a crappie heaven. I've only known it for a limited time, but I've already had some majestic days on that water. It really is a special place...

And wingshooter, I was burning up out there on the lake. The long, cool ride back to the launch with a handful of XL crappie was the highlight of the day. I think you can tell with that big ol' smile. That's rare...:D

Ray, Morgan Point is just east of Pendleton, which is just outside of Dumas, AR. It might be a pretty good drive from Eudora.

And Jerry, be sure to keep us updated. I hope to get back down there for some revenge on those big ol' white crappie...

    Default I couldn't help but....

...comment; CEB, you went fishing on the weekend just like common working folk. What's up with that?? Are you practicing for when you get a job??

Ceb ,there will be days you wish you could catch some trash fish just to keep things interesting. I fish 4lb test on a Buck's jig pole. I can relate to getting your line snapped. I chased doen a 5lb ''GASPER GOO'' or Drum to most that hit my jig. Atleast it livens things up .:D

    CEB,

Great post, there always seems to be an odd fish or two when Gooch and I go fishing on Ouachita. Gooch caught sunfish this weekend that wasn't much bigger than the rosie. Maybe you can give out a secondary award to the smallest catch :D

Hey DP, I figured that I'd try it the good ol' workin man's way...and it seems that it didn't work out well for me. Better stick with the weekdays...

Nimrod, I am most certainly an equal opportunity angler...just not an equal opportunity eater. I love catching other species to liven things up. It can sure help revive some tough days on the water.

And DT, I think Gooch wins the award for smallest fish everytime. I also heard that you made him net some big crappie for you this weekend...:D
