Hey man hope thje weather cooperates for Us on Tuesday, we are ready to hit um hard.
Hey JT, is Beaver warmer than Bull Shoals? I know BS is deeper, so it must be slower to warm. I fished today and could only find water 49 - 52 on either side of the lake. Had a tough time in the wind, only caught one big bluegill.
If you're too busy to go fishing, you're too busy!
Water on Beaver is 54 to 58. I caught some more today in the weeds!Originally Posted by flyflinger

You mean the weeds right against the bank. I saw some of those sticking out on a couple of points, but I figured the water was too shallow, only a foot or two deep. Shows you how much I don't know. I'll drop a minnow in the weeds next time. Maybe later today if the wind lays and it don't rain. Thanks JT.

I haven't tried points yet. I have been fishing in the back of coves and small pockets along the main cove in front of the dead weeds.Originally Posted by flyflinger

Piper, have you tried this since you posted your last message? I am leaving this a.m. at some point, unloading at Hickory Creek Marina...should I try the brushpiles first directly NORTH from marina by the no wake buoys or should I go back in the cove and find the dead weeds? Jigs, Minnows, what would you reccomend....I went to Sportman's Warehouse with StinkiesDaddy yesterday, we stocked up on some jigs (blk/chrtrse, red/white, red/chrtrse, all diff. style tails for diff. action of course.) Got 1/16 oz. jig heads -- the red hooks. I got some shinee hinees, and some I've never tried before, called SPRO Baby Bucktails...StinkiesDaddy said they have worked for him in the past..I also am trying a new Mitchell reel, the 308Xe...once I get my boat I'll be in BUSINESS!Originally Posted by J.T.
