Found this mess at Lake Maumelle again. They were right off the bottom in about 15 fow. Discovered them on the Hummingbird cruising slowly on the creek channel. They were all balled up on the edge of the main creek channel. Looks like a Haybale on the graph. Caught and released some skinny white bass here and there with them. Slow jig presentation and warm thick layered clothing were a must on this trip. A small propane heater sure helps with yo fingers. I have found that The colder it gets, the more they gang up in tight schools. So If you can find them...They can't resist that jig bumping their nose. The bite again was very delicate. Sometimes the jig just felt odd, and boom... fish was on doing the flop. I know one thing for sure...keep your lines tight. These are some very healthy pretty fish in the clear reservoir. I was the only numb skull out there I believe.
