The white bass run is in full swing at DeGray all the way up past Amity landing. Went with my little bro saturday and caught 25, he went back yesterday with his bro in-law and caught 39. They are hitting a black/white Rapala 7s. They like it worked really fast, and they seem to really turn the bite on about an hour before dark. Man you can really have some fun over there for the next couple or 3 weeks. I heard that the birds are gobblin a lil bit too.

Some of my greatest memories of the outdoors and my grandfather were fishing for the whites on the Ouachita River. Man thats a blast for a kid going out when there really turned on, and catching a limit of em in swift water.

Now that Jerry shared his bacon wrapped fish recipie with us I don't mind eating them either.

Brant sure hope your planning on comming to crappie camp. There is a healthy population of turkeys on the banks of Greeson. You could sure do a cast and blast if you wanted to.

Gooch, I do plan on making a trip to crappie camp, sounds like alot of fun. I have the same memories about grandpa and white bass, he got me hooked when I was just a young pup, and I go every year, I love it. He is actually still able to go, just can't get up and go all day like we used to. The feller can still bring em in just like I remember when I'd go and he'd catch 50 to my 10.LOL.

Looking forward to meeting you guys at camp, I enjoy reading the posts on here.
