Default My luck ran out today

Well I pressed my luck and took another day to fish. I didn't hear the hurricane forecast, it sure got rough on the lake today. We caught the ones we caught before 9am then the waves started rolling in. We couldn't stay on the lake and went into Connerly bayou but didn't catch any keepers. We tried the north end of the lake and caught one keeper. It still beats a day at work. We caught these on a roadrunner.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

    Jerry,
I wouldn't say your luck ran out. those are 13 nice fish. Plus, you didn't have to work! Did you get them on the south end of the lake? Also, were you on the outside bend of the lake, or on the inside bend where the cypress forest is?

I caught them on the south side of the lake, just a little south of Connerly Bayou.

Getting my stuff together for a trip to Chicot in the morning. Going to be down there a few days. I was hoping the weather would stay nice for a while longer, looks like a cold front may be coming this weekend. Going to start fishing on the south end but might have to move around to find them.

Jerry, I don't think your luck ran out, I think the fish just wanted a break. You got some pretty impressive catches in the last few days.
You can't fish with a hung line!
