    Default AR Game and Fish


    How do we get the Game and fish to listen to us? As I read all the post out here it comes to me the some of us come across places like the dead sea and such.

    I would like to start working with them to help to lakes that we all fish. Kinda like Jerry and Derryl. The game and fish have a $53k boat down here that we all paid for. Talked to dude down there and he said that the boat was to hard to move around. BS. We paid for it, let us tell them what we want.

    Anybody want to join in?

    Hey Slipcork, It's my understanding that the Game & Fish were supposed to maintain the 32+ manmade brushpiles built on Lake Nimrod during the last drawdown. Haven't seen anything done yet.
    If they would just let some of the Crappie.com members know where they were going to work on building brushpiles I'll bet that they would get plenty of volunteers to help out.
    I know that Lake Maumelle is L.R.'s water supply lake but it would be an excellent lake for the Game & Fish to supervise such a project.

    As far as the dead sea goes, I don't know if the powers to be would be interested in a bunch of guys sinking stuff for habitat because it is a water supply and pleasure boat lake. I would sure like to do something to make it more productive though.

    Conway has really came along in the last few years because of a joint effort by bass clubs and the AGFC. Ten years ago the boat lanes were almost non exsistant. I don't know of anybody that has improved the habitat, but AGFC has stocked it heavily twice that I know of and the clubs marked the trails. Now I really don't know if the two were really working together or not. But, both of their efforts sure has had a benefit.
