    Question Mr. Fishingpox

Will you be at Old Town this weekend? What do you think the fishing will be like there? Looks like the White River is dropping about 6 inches a day so the lakes on the White River Reserve should be getting right soon. Sorry that I did not see you last Sunday on the lake. I would have liked to visit with you some more.

Firstly you can call me Rusty,or Village idiot, not Mr.. Our secret is out. Old town was in Mid-south hunting and news. I was wondering why there were so many boats there last Monday. As far as it being a good place to fish this weekend, I think so. And yes I will be there if I do not have to work, on both days. All the females I caught last weekend, which were few, the veins were fairly big but the eggs looked relatively yellow. However I'm colored blind, red is one of my bad colors. I think the girls will be around big cypress trees that have alot of knots around them. Though you never can tell, one just has to find them and that is another of my problems. It has been raining in this area. I hope it does not mess the water up.

I have never been on any of the lakes on the refuge. I hear there is good fishing in them.

Heck don't worry about missing me, I knew you were busy fishing. I was up futher in the trees than most were. I always start in close then work my way out if need be.

I'll probably be taking my waders this weekend also. I do better wading plus my rear is still sore from fishing 36 hours in three days.

If you get down there and you have a cellphone, mine is 870-733-7933

    Thumbs up

Rusty. I expect to fish both days also. When you wade do you use chest or hip waders? What do you do with your boat? I will be sure and call you. I will drive over there Friday night. My cell is: (256) 318-7834. There is General Store on the White River Refuge about 30 minutes from the lake. The have a fish and crawfish buffet for only around 10 bucks each Friday and Saturday night. It is well worth the drive if you like crawfish. It is only a few miles from where I will be staying. If you have time and you want to, maybe you could join my brother-and-law there for dinner. Do you drive back each night or do you lodge there? The Refuge lakes heat up around the same time that Old Town cools off. You would like those lakes. There are only about a hundred of them to choose from.

I use chestwaders. I tie my boat up and leave it rarely do I get out of site from it. I have never had anyone to mess with it. Though ,I know one day someone might. I believe almost all fishermen are honest guys. I have been driving home each day. My mother lives in Forrest City, sometimes I spend the night with her, it's kind of like killing two birds with one stone.

Man I love crawfish, but I do not suck the heads...:D I just might take you up on that offer to eat. If I don't stink too bad, probably will do. I hate going into a place of business smelling like something a dog won't eat...:D

I hear guys all the time talking about the refuge lakes and say there are some monster crappie in it.

The high temperature this weekend here in in the upper 50's, but sun shining..

Rusty: Don't worry about your appearance or smell. I promise you there will be some gals in there that will be big enough to butter both of our heads and swallow us whole . They will smell the part also. It is just a large community store that has a small resturaunt in it. It is the only store for 15 miles and they sell practically everything. The folks from that area come there on weekends to eat. Nothing fancy. Maybe after dinner we will have time to sit around the RV with my Brother - in - law and have a cigar and a cold beverage. We will fill you in on the refuge lakes. My grandparents lived in Forrest City. They are both deceased now. I will be driving in tomorrow afternoon. Call me when you get a chance tomorrow or Saturday (256) 318-7834. I can only find my hip waders.

That's an excellent idea Rusty. When the heavy girls head our way we can use them as our "Wingmen" while we eat up their crawfish. I look forward to seeing you this weekend.
