The TV shows are just another media product like newspapers, magazines, etc. You have content for reader or viewer appeal, but you've got to have enough advertising to pay for it. Most panfish product manuafacturers just won't or don't have the money to pay for advertisment in such shows to make it profitable to a producer. On the other hand, that is the very reason we came up with the crappie camp concept. It's actually just the opposite of a competitive tournament and makes for an appropriate forum for anglers as well as manufacturers and retailers to get together in one place. Plus, we've been very fortunate to have the backing and support of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's Education Division to do media days to help promote crappie fishing.
