    Default Slow & Windy

Here on Nimrod the water temp is hanging in the mid 50's. We just caught enough for a fish fry yesterday.
Ran across "NIMROD" and his son on our way in today. It was slow for them also but they had a few dandys they had caught...

Hey Slabbandit, I'd say that it looks like y'all had a pretty good day. The wind can make it tough. But, the wind is gonna be tough for awhile now, at least until you actually need a breeze in July. Oh well, the fishing may have been tough today, but just know that better days are ahead...

Slabbandit I wound up with 5 nice fish and a few dinks. The biggest was 1 lb and 11 oz. The 5 was total of 7 lbs. They are getting ready to stage if the weather will warm up a little more.:D

Hey Nimrod, I think that once the surface temp stays over 60 degrees we should have females staging on most of the brushpiles and should be able to catch some males shallow moving in and out from the bank.
About a couple more weeks probably.

I almost have that problem with the wife, she gets bored with the slow bite and either takes a nap or keeps griping til i caint take it anymore and have to leave.

Nimrod I have found that when my wife gets sick of my going crappie fishing, that its time to fry some up and renew her intrest. Hit that boy with a 10 peice fish dinner and a crappie jig and tell him to go get more and he will be plenty interested.
