Default Another good day at Chicot (Pics)

I got ahold of my supervisor last night and took the day off today. My brother and I went to Lake Chicot, the action wasn't as fast as it was yesterday, but you just don't get a lot of days like that. We fished the lake until about noon and only had 15. We went into Connerly bayou and fished but didn't catch any keepers. The water temp was 61, so we decided to go back to the lake and throw roadrunners. The crappie liked that, we caught the rest of our two limits by 2:30 and started culling a few. We caught better fish throwing the roadrunner. Again somewhere in the counting and culling we miscounted, got home with 39. I guess it is best to err on the safe side.

A pic of a beautiful sunrise.

This is Connerly bayou, a little muddy.

    Todays catch.

    A couple of good ones.

    The lure, my favorite.

It's been a great 4 days of fishing, don't usually get that many in a row this time of year. Thinking about taking off tomorrow to get in one more before the rain.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

I think you've done found a crappie honey hole, Jerry. You know it's some good fishing when you're taking off work to hit 'em. Better save a few days off for those Cane Creek crappie in November.:D

Yeah and I need to take a few in a week or two for Morgan Point. They should be doing good soon if we don't have a big cool down.
