It was a pretty tough day. Got out there and set-up later than I wanted. The parking lot was completely full when I got there. I guess we got the poles in the water around 4pm. My wife-to-be came out with me for an hour or two, so there was no serious fishing going on till she left out at 6pm (lots of boat traffic down the channel). Caught a few fish...nothing to write home about. Had one decent 11" fish and a couple of 9-10" fish and then several dinks. We had 4 keepers total. There was quite a bit of activity on the depthfinder. We found all of our fish between 14' and 20'. Caught a few smaller ones on a couple of the condos we dropped a few weeks ago. All in all, it was good afternoon on the water. I plan to get back out there next week and hunt 'em down before the nightstalk. I'll probably steer clear of Little Maumelle this weekend, because all of the spring boat riders are out in full force. Didn't get any pics of the fish we caught...but will leave you with a couple of sunset landscapes...That's Gooch and his buddy fishing in the background...

Guess I'll have to recruit a new fishing bud since the Goocher has moved in on mine and has now given him a bad name. Chris, you got room in your in your boat?

Raker dont make that move just yet. I was not that impressed with your fishing partner yesterday. He is a little to set in his ways for my taste. I think if you and I work together with him we can turn him into a competent angler, but thats a long way off. By the way what do you think your partners name should be on Crappie.com? Even though he has trouble with technical stuff like computers I think it would do him good to sign up so he can at least see the pictures.

Droped more condos yesterday and want to build more and get them out before the weather warms up and makes building condos a chore. I am set for now on buckets and boxes and the boo is ready anytime so let me know when and if you can help out.

Hey Raker, I could use a competent fishing partner. The Goocher has too much trouble catching them if they are over 5" crappie. For some reason, he can see that pole quiver from a dink, but he always seems to miss it when that slab yanks half the pole into the water.:D I think his jaw-flappin' abilites adversely affect his sense of sight.

I hope to be out on the water everyday next week. And, you've got a spot in my boat anytime you get a chance to slip out for the afternoon.
