got any pictures???
I will try to get some pics Tuesday evening.
Any chance they might be yellow bass?

I have been catching all three of those species. I didn't get to stop on my way home yesterday evening and it was raining this evening. I will try to get a picture of the little buggers soon.

Doesn't really explain why stripers reproduce at Asante-Cooper, Texoma, and Powell and very few if any other places.
This is an informative post, Cray. Nearly everyone I have heard has said that they don't spawn in fresh water, although someone years ago said that they thought Texoma was brackish enough for them to spawn. A friend of mine lives next to Texoma, and it didn't hurt his feelings a bit when all those stripers were washed over the dam a couple of years ago.
Not sure about the other lakes mentioned, but Powell has a good and constant current during the spawn most years due to snow melt and run off in the Rockies.
I have fished Lake Mead also and know that they can have huge spawns as well. I am not sure about Lake Havasu, the next lake down the Colorado River.

I've caught some big ones in the lower Arkansas River. Love it when they are chasing shad and they are hitting top water on zara spooks! My largest weighed a little over 21 lbs.
