    Default Southbound

In the past 2 weeks NWA has had over 4 inches of rain. The south end of Beaver Lake which usually has slightly stained water with maybe 6-10 inches of visibility looked more like Grenada, Mississippi. Also had a lot of floating debris. So we headed south for a short road trip this past Thursday. It seemed that south Arkansas hadn't had as much rainand the lake we fish was in good shape. Better yet, we found some spammers and the bite was on. I am a blessed and lucky man to have a wife with the ability to get up under the limbs of a cypress tree with a 10 foot jig pole and stick a 2 lb. crappie and play him back to the boat. Then politely say can u get me closer to those knees. We had to end our trip after one day of fishing with what appeared to be a little emergency but everything was ok when we got home. Life is good.

So much for south Ar. not having a lot of rain. That sure changed today.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
