    Ok all these crappie was caught in the same area on the same day. At the same depth. What's the difference in these eggs?

    not sure, but looks to me like the bottom two on the right are a bit spoiled

    You would be surprised how long of a period a species of fish will spawn in the same area. Waves move in at different times. I live on a lake and have visually watched fish move in and out of beds for a period of over 2 months. I believe the two mushy looking ones are closer to spawning than the other fish.
