I would like to use this opportunity to thank D-10 and the AGFC for keeping up with the pressure of providing me with 5-10 good bites all year long where i can go catch a mess of the best eating fish in the world. The Crappie. Thanks Guys you do a HUll of a job. By the way the 10 inch rule you all incorporated on Conway is making a difference. Good Decision.

All this technology moving so fast with upgrades every year . The imaging is improving at at fast pace like computers and options like 360 . Even the guys that don't fish tournaments that can afford them are doing so . With limits raised in some areas , technology , and folks having more time on the water has to be taking a toll on the resource . If trends continue we maybe looking at the need for tighter restrictions on some waters . I know some places even in the Crappie Capitol of the south , Mississippi looking at this .

Heck, I wish the limit was 15. Then even I could say I caught a limit now and then.

Why not a 10 to 14'' slot statewide ? Just kidding most lakes a length limit would help except for those that flood regularly most springs .

actually, i would need the limit to be 8 if i was going to get a limit most times i go out. luckily for me, i fish conway and the eight i get are usually quite large

Thanks Russ. Next Fall we will begin our three year evaluation of the regulation to see if it is meeting our expectations and to see if the predictive model was correct. We collected three years of extensive pre-regulstion data and we intend to match the effort this go around.

When you have a lake like Conway with unreal spawns almost every years and the regulations get too restirctive, you end up protecting too many fish from harvest. When this happens, growth rates decline and the objective of the minimum length limit is not acomplished.
