Sweet, I live in Missouri very close to Stockton. I also fish Truman, Pomme DeTerre and Lake of the Ozarks but was thinking of making a trip south this year and fish some in Arkansas. Pics like that have me thinking it would be worth the trip.

Wow! Nice crappie. Loved the article about going back to basics until I seen your fishing rig. $200.00 + for that reel and rod is not basic by a long ways for the most of us. It maybe basic for today's standard but I started out with a cut and dried cane pole, cat gut fishing line, snuff bottle cork, piece of flattened out lead wheel weight cut to size needed, and the old country store sold old blue looking aberdeen hooks out of the box for 1 or 2 cent each. Try that for going back to basics. Thanks for sharing the report and pictures.
