And sorry about the rod, I guess that I should have included a little more info as to not leave anyone out of the loop...
Saturday afternoon of our stalk, Darryl and I are sittin' in the boat haning on for dear life during the hurricane winds. One of Darryl's rod tips start bending over in the water. I thought it was hung-up, but Darryl just kinda kept lifting it. That dam rod (still with line, hook, and float) came up just like a crappie of a lifetime does. She came up, rolled over on the surface, and waved goodbye as she headed back down for the bottom. We got just a good enough look at the rod to know what it was.
I went back to Conway by myself on Tuesday morning. I was sitting there pluggin' along, when one of the rod tips started slowly dipping into the water. I thought that I was hung-up, again. Just like last time, it had some give to it, so I brought it on up to the top of the water. I had a good hookset this time, though. Had the hook around the rod itself about 3 eyes down from the top. The rod hasn't been down there for very long at all. Maybe a week or two. The way it looks in the picture is the same as when it came up.
Yep, should be a good story for the grandkids one day...
