    Default Update from Beaver Lake....

I am notorious for not taking pictures and not posting pictures, but for whomever out there cares to know.....here ya go.....

I went out yesterday leaving Monte Ne, headed immediately South, went WAY down the river....WAY down the river until it was about 20 ft wide...from Hickory Creek to point 12, I caught 5 crappie all about 11.5-12", caught 3 walleye all right at 18" and caught one kentucky bass that was about 3.5" long My minnow was actually almost longer than the fish I caught, haha.

GREAT WEATHER, even managed to get my first sunburn of the year on my face....(half wind-burn too)!!! Get out there this week if you can, the walleye are going to soon be EASILY caught down the river a little ways!

MM -- hope all of you had fun at Nightstalk last w/e.

    Caleb,
I've been busy with trips over on swepco after that Outdoor Arkansas article I did over there. I plan on sinking that bamboo I got from my trip down to Hot Springs this week on Beaver though. I may wet a line for crappie on Friday.
I think we had a cat 3 hurricane today out there!

That's awesome man, I read the article...can see why you would be busy over there, tons of people want to know Swepco and learn it...I'm sure you have had a ton of out-of-towners...I am nearing buying my boat...I cannot wait, all the crappie I caught were trolling, mostly right around the bend between the butt-crack rock and the hickory marina...I lost a few stripers too believe it or not, I think they were, we had medium tackle kept breaking the line. Have the bass been non-stop over there? I bet you are ready for some crappie days.....! MM

Bass fishing has been good over there, it's just the wind that is bad!
I am looking forward to crappie fishing... believe me!
