    Default Lake Nimrod lake Map!

I was out on the lake today and 5 large boats fron Navionics were mapping the lake bed for a new map for Lake Nimrod! They said that the new map would be on the market about this time next year.

Ok thats got to be a sweet job. Would love to have a look at all the data they colected. You would know where every brushpile on the lake was. Instead of marking it with a B for brush they would use a P for persimion

Hey Gooch, One guy had his dog with him and had the Country music a playin'!
I had to get out of his way as he went right over one of my best tops!
Oh well, can't keep 'em all secret!

I think that they should be required to fish them and document how many fish were taken from each waypoint...:D

But really, I saw one of those boats while I was heading into Mayflower this weekend. I guess they were out on Conway. But, I can't figure out the point of mapping that type of lake out. I'll bet their side-scan sonars were useless with all of the stumps out there...

Well CEB and Gooch, At least I got another big slab out of there before my persimmon goes public!

This is another pic of the same one I caught Sunday. I think I posted it as a 2.7 but that was wrong. I meant to say it weighed 2lb 7 oz. Had to find a bush to use as a tripod for the camera.

It still kills me that you guys are using persimmion for your tops but theres no doubt they work like a charm. Glad to see you enjoy the fruits of your labor instead of all labor and no fruit.

I noticed your rod holders in your boat. If you get time post a pic of that setup for me. I would like to take a closer look at those. Needing to do something similar to my boat to help with the longer crappie rods.

Don't worry if you were a little off on your statement on that fishes weight. As far as I am concerned you were 5,1oz egg sinkers from a 3 pound hawg

Is that a home made rig that supports your rod holders running the length of your boat or is it comercially available?

Sure is a nice fish. Looks like we will all be heading to Nimrod to sink some new tops soon. Did you ask him for a few free copies of the map?:D

I would like a better look at your vertical rod rack. I'm thinkin' about just making me some out of 2" PVC. Could you take some pics of your whole set-up?

Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments on my boat! I made everything myself except for the Driftmaster Rod holders. It's pretty simple how I did it.
I'll go out tomorrow and take some pics and make a post with more info. I should have it done by noon Wed.
