I manage two or three trips a year. Never have caught a walleye there. Course the only ones I catch anywhere are an accident. Might rig up deeper and see what happens. DP

We catch a few every year. Allways on minnows. Allways 20 ft or deeper.

I've caught saugeyes in maumelle but not in the last 5 years. One spring just prior to that we caught some 2 and 3 pounders on jerk baits but for whatever reason that deal hasnt repeated since.

jtrsen, were the crappie still pretty deep? Also, i've caught 3 saugeyes out of maumelle this past summer, by accident, real deep on minnows. I would have thought they were walleyes except for knowing about saugeyes being stocked there. Hard for me to tell the difference without a little research. Very good eating' for sure.

According to Arkansas Game And Fish, Walleyes were stocked in Lake Winona, 2.5 " fingerlings, in the years of 2009,13,14,15.

Sorry guys. Did not do well on the crappie. Kept 6, 8, and 12. Fished middle of 3 days. Fish were 12' deep on brush piles. Orange and chartreuse, lime green and chartreuse. Bass would jump in the boat. Lol
