I'll bring some chips, regular Lay's ok with everyone. My boss has been wanting to back out of coming, I can read his mind. I sure told a whopper lie....:D ,he will get over it. I plan on getting up early Sat. morning and heading that way. I also hope I do not have to work overtime tomorrow night, those boys panic when a little work comes through the door. I still may carry the shop cell phone..I haven't made my mind up about that yet, being that I lied like a dog...if they call while we are on the lake, everyone might have to be quiet for just a moment until I can get him off my back....:D

Weeell, I'm ready for shorts and sandals weather, but my bookings for today and tomorrow cancelled and the wife is sick . Barring a last minute call from someone just dying to give me some money, I'll be there. I'm going to bring my boat if someone with an anchor will let me tie up to them if I can't tie up to a stump . I have enough room and equipment to take on 4 non-boaters, so come on. Arriving sometime before noon is the plan right now :D give me a call 501-844-5418 and I'll come back to the ramp and pick you up or I'll see you at the launch ramp at 4:00.

I am sorry your clients canceled and the wife is sick. But, man I am glad you are going to make it. You can tie up to me any time. Or I can bring my Pop Eye anchor from the toon boat. But....
    Hey Ceb
Do you think Darryl's console will make it under the pedestrian bridge??

Darryl its been a long time since I was on Conway but I think your boat may be to big for out there. I'm sure CEB will chime in when he wakes up, or Dr Pepper will let us know, but sit tight on bringing the boat for right now. Not to mention you have a reserved seat on the Good ship Goochalot and you just may not need it.

Will do, ya'll let me know. Ya'll know my boat and if I can get my boat in there, then we ought to use it. I've got lots of room and equipment for non-boaters. The draft is not a problem. I've floated down channels in 12" of water. But the height of the console for low bridges and the length and width in tight stump fields can be a problem. And I don't want to leave it at the ramp where my gear can get stollen.

I'll bring my aquavu camera. I've never tried it at night in lights. That should be interesting. I've also got plenty of rods and reels in my truck if someone wants to use a long pole with slip float. And, I've got two floating lights and one sinking.

Sounds good, Darryl! On the boat, I'm not sure if it will clear. I would imagine that from water surface to the bottom of the pedestrian bridge, you've got about 4' - 4.5' of clearance. If anything that may be a little bit of an under-estimate just to be on the safe side. You shouldn't have any trouble at all navigating under the other 2 bridges. Other than that, you should have no problem at all navigating the creek from the launch to the cove. The launch is very deep, and where we are going, stumps are few and far between. I haven't hit a stump yet going from the launch to the cove, and that means a lot cuz I've got a knack for finding everyone of them suckers....

I don't know if the aquaview is even worth bringing, unless you've already got it loaded up. The water out there is heavily stained, so I'm not sure if you would even have 2" of visibility.

You have seen my pan fisher, I figure my feet are just about water level when I am sitting down. When I go under that bridge, I don't have to duck down. But I sure want too. I think maybe you should leave yours at home and let one of us do the driving this time. You could stay out in the creek, but I think most of us will be on the otherside.

    I want to remind everybody...
I know this group will not cause any trouble. The cove is surrounded by private property and people that live there. We don't need to be getting all gooched I mean hooched up and start hooting and hollering. Don't want the cops called on us on our first get together.
