I've never heard of these jigs, but I googled them and the only reference to them was on the AGFC fishing report for L. Conway this past week. If you find out where to get these, post a report, thanks.Originally Posted by sprtsmn001

I was on Conway last year and had my lunch handed to me. I was fishing and started catching a few small crappie, redears and some yellow bass. These guys pulled up about 30 yards from me and caught fish on almost every cast. From then on, I didn't get a bite. They were throwing a slip cork with something small and shiny tied to the line. I couldn't ever get them to tell me what it was, but I can tell you it was working better than I could ever imagine. I finally gave up and left out to return to the ramp. I asked the guys who owned the marina and they pointed out the dynamax jig. I tried it the next day and it had to have been what those guys were throwing. I absolutely wore em' out. Has anyone else had any experiences with those jigs? If so, where can a man find more of them?

beats a good day at work.

Jerry, I'll tell you one thing, these jigs are the real deal. I've never seen anything like them. I would cast tube jigs, hair jigs, feather jigs, minnows (both regular and rosies) and wouldn't get a bite. But once I tied one of these dynamax jigs on, I couldn't keep them off the thing.
McSwain's Sport Shop carries the Dynamax jigs. they are located on the England highway just out of NLR.

Jerry, if this is the right place, maybe you can give them a call and find out more about them.

You can't fish with a hung line!
Bate's Bait there in Mayflower has plenty, $1.49 a pop, tiny tinsel tail things in black/silver or brown/gold. They're all I'll use for bream, never caught many crappie on them.
I think you are refering to what I call a tinsel teaser. Bates always keeps them in stock. I showed them to the guy that runs Gold Creek last year. I don't know if he is stocking them yet or not. I like the black and silver or the brown with gold. I also use some of the tiny jigs that Gander Mountain stocks. I did well with one that had purple and silver last year. Sorry, can't remember the name. But, I did so well last year that I couldn't sleep at night wanting to get back out there. When ever I closed my eyes, I could see a vision of that cork stopping or going under.

Got to thinking about the corks you mentioned. These jigs are too light for a slip cork. I use a weighted cork; you will not be fishing any more than 2 feet on the flats. I like a 7 ' rod with 4 lbs green line too.

DRPEPPER, I believe you are right about the cork now that I'm thinking about it. They had it about 18 inches above the jig. And the ones I bought last year were from Gold Creek. Those guys were pretty helpful. I was fishing right out from the ramp at Gold Creek. That little jig was like throwing a t-bone to a junk yard dog who hadn't eaten in a month. They loved it. I had my best luck with a color they called "bumble bee". I also did fairly well on the brown and gold one. By the way, how late do you all plan on staying out this coming Saturday? I might be able to talk my wife into letting me go.
I would say we will pull out somwhere from 10:00 till 12:00 depending on the bite.
Hope you can make it. Valentines is this week so you have a great opportunity to get a kichen pass.
