The above comments are absolutely correct. If you are pulling cranks I recommend downloading the app to your phone precision trolling. It tells you based on the type of crank bait, lb. test line and speed how much line to let out the back to get cranks down to desired depth. The app helps you not waste a lot of time guessing and trying to figure out the correct depth at what speed etc. I use 1.5oz and 2 oz weights when I am pushing cranks only. Good rule of thumb is faster speed bigger weight needed. I use a 1.5oz up to 1.2 mph to keep my lines vertical while pushing then if I need to move faster go up to 2 or even 3 oz weights if my boat speed is 2+mph. If you font have I-Pilot or I-5 Motor Guide trolling motor pushing is easier for 1 man to manage. Great fun either way. Good luck
