DP I catch a lot, if not most, of my crappie trolling at 1.25mph. I don't usually go much faster due to stumps and hang ups. I'm afraid I'll break my trolling motor hitting something or burn up the drags on my reels before I can get slowed down and turn around and go get it un-hung.
I will try that too!. Sometimes it is a lot of work trying to maintain 1.8 to 2 MPH. Thanks DP
