Thread: Vacation at the Big D

We went to the big D for vacation last week, caught some crappie and got to visit with a few .comers. Got there late Monday (dodging the storms). Tuesday morning started off slow but found a few Tuesday afternoon. Did a little better Wednesday. Thursday morning I got to visit with RLCRAPPIE and his wife (you can meet some of the nicest people out fishing). Thursday afternoon saw nimrod go by as we were putting in, about the time we got to a brush pile we got to watch him put a couple in the boat. I have heard about his hook set and landing but its really just one motion. You see him set the hook and then you see a fish ing the bottom of the boat. He stopped by later and talked while we (my wife) caught a few fish. Howards coward got there friday so we got to meet him and his wife and visit for a while. I was really surprised there wasn't more .comers around.
Didn't take a lot of good pictures but got a few. The weather wasn't the best as we had lots of wind a little rain and the temps were a little cool but it sure was better than working. When you get home and think about the crappie you

caught and people you met it sure makes you look forward to your next vacation!
