Aww, Coats...I wish that I'd known you were gonna be fishin' today. I decided this morning to head out to the cove. Got poles in the water around 12:30 and got off the water around 4:45. I kept 15 crappie and 3 monster yellow bass. I haven't weighed the biggest crappie, but I have a couple close to 2lb or better. I threw back several yellow bass and who knows how many dang drum. Also snagged a few shad (absolutely huge shad) that were about 10" long. It was a pretty good day. Slow but steady. I was the only boat out there, and that's why I love days such as today. It really snowed good for about 20 minutes and would have made for a great picture. I also had to bust ice to get out there. I think that's the first time I've ever had to crack ice to get to a spot...

I hate it that you were out there and I didn't know about it. I know we've discussed it before, but you're welcome anytime in my boat. My camera ran out of juice before I could get the first pic off, but I'll post a detailed report and an after pic tomorrow.
