Welcome to the crew!
Welcome to the site, I know there are a lot of good people and a lot of knowledge to be had...Have fun!:D
Welcome. Let's go fishin! Come join us on Feb 17th. down at I-430 and Hwy 10. Know where that is? Send a PM if need to.
Troy, you are very welcome...I personally have never used a Crappie Critter, but if you are looking for them, this might help...here is the link to get them. Click on the link. If it will not open, just copy and paste it into your web browser and hit enter. This should be what you are looking for, I hope this helps! Let me know if you cannot open it....if nothing else, go to Google.com and in the white box that says "search"...just type in Crappie Critters, then hit enter it will pop up several links, shop around, this link I found sells them 10 for $1.55, I saw another link that sells 15 for $1.95, hopefully these are what you are looking for my friend. Good fishing! (p.s. do they really work THAT good?) get some and let me know, haha! MM :)Quote:

Whiteriverguy, Welcome. I am new to this site as well. Moved back to LR from Clarendon a couple of years ago. Did my time as a riverrat. Still have a houseboat on the White at Clarendon. Trying to figure out how to push it down the White and back up the Arkansas. Would love to dock it on the Little Maumelle River. Hope to see you at the nightstalk.
Good call! That would be a great place to dock one...except you may have frequent visitors...:D Be sure to let us know about moving the houseboat. I'd love to take a ride up the river...Quote:

Chris, I was in the middle of redoing the houseboat when we moved back to LR. I have wanted to move it to the Little Maumelle ever since I found the marina up there. It is about 60 ft long and 18ft wide. It is homemade from the pontoons up. It has never had a motor on it. Been pushed where ever it goes. The old man that built the houseboat had a skiff with a car motor on it that he tied to the back of it to push it. I have always thought that if I could get it up here, it would be easier to finish and have a place for the guys to hang out and have "base camp" for fishing from (may be why my wife is not as excited as I am about moving it to LR). I checked with the people at the Little Maumelle marina about moving it for me but they wanted too much $$ to move it. I am not sure what size motor it would take to push it up the Arkansas nor do I have any idea how long it would take to do it. I have stripped the inside down to the studs, took off a "bunk house" that was added and had a new metal roof put on it before I left Calrendon. I have attached a couple of pics of what it looked like when I bought it. I do not have a pic of what it looks like now but will see if I can find one.

I used to fish the lower White River years ago. Man if that house boat don't look familiar .:D
She looks familiar to me to Nimrod. If not her I have seen her twin sister.
Nimrod & Gooch, If it looks familiar, it is probably the same one you have seen. I think that it was built back in the early 70's. There is only one other one in Clarendon that is bigger than this one and it is a whole lot nicer than mine. The riverrats used to push them up the White to duck hunt out of. I do not know of anyone that does that anymore because of the new Federal regs. I have talked to people that have pushed mine up river and they said they used to push it with a flat bottom w/ a 40hp on the back and two flat bottoms w/ 25hp on either side of the front to turn it. I am open to any suggestions on getting it up to the Little Maumelle. With it finished out, I think it would make one fine place for everyone to meet up and have a weekend crappie camp on.
