    Default greers ferry lake

Can anyone give me any information on greers ferry lake. I'll be staying at fairfifeld bay from April 1 - 5 . What species would be best to try for ? Are there any guides in the area that are recommended ? Thanks in advance for any information.

Troll a white, chrome, or wite with chart back shad rap, bomber, or bandit in Higdon bay and you should catch a mixed bag of fish. My best friend has a cabin right at the mouth of it and his dad wears out the walleye, hybrids, crappie and catfish with that technique. Start at the fish hatchery release point and stay in 20 to 25 feet of water working your way twards the back of higdon bay. You will find if they want to be on the points or flats by the time you make it to the back of higdon bay then just target those areas.

One thing about that lake though is its water level changes as drastically as any lake I have ever seen so untll the week before the trip you just wont know what to do. Shoot me a PM before you come and I will make some calls to some retired guys I know that fish the lake regularly and let you know whats up.
