    Default Lake Columbia 2/3/07

Well, it was pretty slow out there today. Got there around 5:30 am and fished till 12. Ended up keeping 10 and threw several smaller ones back. Word has it that they were "tearing it up" before Wednesday and the front moved through and shut them down. Caught every one of these on hair jigs. I had a couple of average fish, but kept several dinks as well. Gonna "try" to go in the morning as well, but don't know. Fishing on thin ice.. :D

Man those slabs would look great but that cleaning station is as fine as I have ever seen.

    Nice work on both.

Thanks for the post bobberwatcher. Gooch is right, that is a really nice cleaning station you have. How deep did you find the fish? Now that duck season is over I plan to get out this week and do some fishing.

Thanks guys. That is actually my in-laws, neighbors cleaning station. He fishes quite a bit and offered it up anytime I need it. Really great guy. I caught those fish about 10-11' deep on a chartruse hair jig. There were some other fellows that was using a solid orange hair jig and doing a little better than me. I did end up catching 2 or 3 on a chart/orange hair jig. I couldn't get a pass to go today.

Hey Allen, glad you got a day on the water without that dang shotgun in your hand. Those crappie fillets are so much more tasty anyways.:D

Glad you got to feel the thump on the other end of the line. Were you jiggin' the brush?

A little bit of brush down on the bottom, but mainly just suspending crappie. You can see em down there on the sonar, but just getting them to bite is a different story.
