That's up here where I live at Jonesboro, Ar. See it all time. The dude probably just got caught speeding, trying to get to the lake after work. Or it could be the cop just asking where they're biting.

I was there when it happened. The real story is the police officer had the boat tied on the top of his cruiser so he could go fishing after work. He (the police officer) didn't notice the stop light had turned red while he was fiddling with the tuner trying to find something decent to listen to on FM. Well, he slammed on his breaks to try to not rear end that poor driver but the forces of nature took over when the extra shoestring he had used to secure the boat to the light bar broke. What you are actually seeing is the officer profusely begging the guy to please go along with his story so he will not get into trouble. The trouble is not because he had the boat tied on the light bar with a shoe string or even that the boat ended up like a javelin in the back of the car. The trouble was the boat actually belongs to the Chief & this officer didn't ask if he could borrow it. He just snuck it away when the Chief wasn't looking & come to find out the Chief had been planning on tying the boat on the top of his cruiser with a shoe string so he could go fishing after work.

True story. If you can't trust a fisherman who can you trust?

I got a great place for you to bring your boat so you guys can do some spider rigging. It's called Conway & it isn't too bad if you get out in the middle a little ways from the bank. You get away from most of the snags that way.

We lived in Jonesboro for several years and I definitely recognize the location but not the "rig". He's probably headed for Hogue or Poinsett.
