    Default Lake "B" today

Couldn't sleep so I left out early and found a group of them on the graph before daylight, set up 6 rods spider rigging and went to catchin. These where not related to brush, they were up on a 15ft flat chasing bait schools. Got brush related at a round mid morning though after the sun got high. Few folks out, most everyone chasing field rats(deer) I guess. Heard a number of shots in the morning. Love fall fishin!

Nice looking mess of fish. Couple of weeks ago I heard several high power rifle shots echo across the lake as I was fishing. I know if one was to hit me, it would be before I heard the shot, but I still flinch when I hear one, and hope the shooter knew his backstop.

Good job Sarge! Lake B also has a ton of fish in it right now. I had a guy call last week and told me that he and a buddy have been catching limits out there for months. He said that he had over 1000 crappie in his freezer.

The guy with over 1,000 crappie in the freezer would have to eat a lot of crappie, something 19 plus crappie a week... to empty his freezer...he's a crappie eating machine.....

i would be ashamed to let others know that I was so selfish that I kept that many fish in my freezer when the food banks could use all the help we could give them. pitiful.

WTG that will make a good fish-fry. I agree, there is definitely less congestion on a lot of lakes in the fall and winter. I know there are some exceptions on some popular "honey holes."
