Draw down or not, Lake Conway is a Dink Fest right now, When i say Dink Fest im talking worse than Nimrod dink fest. not near the fish being caught as in years past. Yes you can still catch a few but there are also allot better places you can go, to catch a mess. In two years Conway will be World Renounced again.

Very true. I agree Russ there are a ton of 6-9 inch crappie in the lake right now. We had an unbelievable spawn last year (this year too). In a couple of years, it should be great!

On a positive note, Lake Conway right now is a great place to train a young person how the single pole without them getting bored. I know that it doesn't matter how small the crappie is when Jacob feels the thump and yanks them out I the water. Priceless! I plan to get a video of it soon for y'all to see. Pretty good stuff.

Yes you can still launch at Dans. I prefer to use the dirt ramp next to the concrete ramp when the lake is lower. I see people use the concrete ramp too.

Me too, but it seems like someone always has their boat parked on the good ramp.

i have been using the concrete ramp and my trailer falls off the end and totally sinks. can I use the dirt ramp without getting stuck? I don't like the way the concrete ramp does my trailor - bent one of my back posts on it Friday when it dropped off the concrete.

Should be fine launching and pulling out as long as your not trying to pull a Mule with a mouse wheel, next to the concrete ramp just watch for that post when backing.

Putting in a 14 ft. jon with a chevy trailblazer. that post is tricky, have almost hit it from the concrete ramp before, particularly before daylight. needs a light and reflectors on it.

This is exactly why I use the dirt ramp. I always have to yank my boat over to get it off of the rails when I use the concrete ramp.
